Attention to Detail
Grandma Smith taught me how to read a pattern, make a French seam and sew using her 1913 Singer Treadle Machine and then her electric Singer. She loved to sew and cultivated in me a life long passion for sewing.
Grandma inspired me to craft creatively embellished functional kitchen aprons and pot holders. She wore her kitchen apron every day, all day long, as did many women in her era. That trend has faded but in Designs by Terry, you'll find handmade kitchen aprons in traditional styles with a fresh look. My kitchen aprons are cute, fun designs with a retro flavor made from chic and festive cotton fabrics to inspire creativity in your own kitchen.
Designs by Terry kitchen aprons was launched in April 2012 with a collection of hand made kitchen aprons featuring original designs made with whimsical fabrics, colorful trim and decorative buttons.
With attention to design elements, each kitchen apron is styled, trimmed and detailed to compliment lines, fabric and functionality.
Styles are created to fit most shapes, sizes and occasions while appealing to a variety of cooks, whether novice or advanced, men, women or children.
Custom and special orders are always welcome.
My products are featured here in my shop and at Arts & Crafts Shows throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Return Policy
Returns are always welcome when the following conditions are met.
Unwashed, unworn handmade kitchen aprons and potholders purchased from originaldesignsbyterry.com or on site at a craft show may be returned within 5 days of shipping or purchase for a full 100% refund of the purchase price of the product minus shipping & handling..
Originaldesignsbyterry.com refunds will be credited to your original method of payment and a receipt will be sent to the email on file. Return shipping is customer's responsibility. Email takmetz@originaldesignsbyterry.com for instructions.
Products with construction defects before or after washing, will be replaced with a similar product or repaired or refunded at the full purchase price including shipping and handling. Your replacement will be shipped to you at no additional cost. Email takmetz@originaldesignsbyterry.com for refund and shipping instructions.

Shipping through US Postal Service sent Priority within 72 hours of payment authorization and approval.
Product Care
Handmade kitchen aprons are made with 100% cotton fabric and trimmed with cotton bias tape. All buttons are washable. Machine wash in cold or warm water, dry on medium heat, steam wrinkles on cotton setting. Washing tip: tie long straps and waist ties together to avoid tangling in machine.
Potholders & Mitts are made with 100% cotton fabric on the exterior, fully lined with 100% cotton and trimmed with cotton bias tape. Each one is insulated with a layer of Warm & Natural cotton and a double layer of Insul-Bright both by The Warm Co. Machine. Wash in cold or warm water, dry on medium heat. Do not use in the microwave.
Cotton Laminate products are 100% cotton with polyurethane film heat laminated to the face of the fabric. All laminate products are BPA free and meet the CPSAI for lead and phythalates. Products may be wiped clean or machine washed and dried on medium temperature or hang to dry. If pressing is desired, iron on fabric side with medium heat using a press cloth. No steam
